Alice costumes: Hatter

.....I don't think this is the right catagory.

Anyway, I'm sorry it took me so long to post these! This is one of my dramafest designs for Alice in Wonderland: Edo period.

The Mad Hatter is a member of the merchant class, which was gaining political power at that time and whatnot, so they showed off by dressing sort of oddly. Hence the bright green pattern and his coat hanging off on one side. And his hat is something like a random dancer's hat, he probably found it in a trash heap somewhere. : ( Notice the random stripes inside his inner garment! I tried to have small western influences and to keep his original basic color scheme (it's green, right?). Oh and he's got a bit of red on him, which is a bit of a Queen of Hearts connection, isn't it?
