This was my second piece for the "design a book cover" assignment in my illustration class! (The first one being the silly Twilight covers.)

The motivations behind both design sets was that I was really out of time that week to do anything but storyboard, so I came up with a bunch of really simple designs for books that I think tend to get over-serious covers.

For Frankenstein I wanted a look that was similar to Azumanga Daioh that featured the creature prominently. : O I think a lot of modern readers relate to him a lot more readily than to Frankenstein himself, so I put him front and center! ....and a little to the right.

We're going to be reading Frankenstein in my English class this year, eeee~ I immediately thought of your Victor when they announced this, hahaha.

Awugh, this is so cute and sleek~ I always love just how daunting your Creature design is, haha. <3
